Safety and health patrols

In order to improve safety and health at each workplace to achieve the goals of no accidents and no work injuries, we conduct weekly safety and health patrols from various perspectives, i.e., upper management and managers, safety managers, health managers, and partner companies.
If a hazardous area, unsafe behavior, or unsafe situation is identified, we will endeavor to promptly remedy it and prevent its recurrence in order to improve safety and health.

Medical Examinations

Medical checkups based on the Industrial Safety and Health Act are conducted twice a year for all employees from the perspective of preventing disease and detecting it early.
Employees under the age of 35 can request to undergo further testing and examinations than those required by law.
Medical checkups are conducted at a nearby affiliated clinic during working hours with the goal of having every employee receive a checkup.
In addition to medical checkups, we provide a medical examination during hiring, special medical examinations, and a medical examination when employees are sent overseas, and we properly manage the health of our employees in cooperation with occupational physicians and health management staff.

Measures to Address Mental Health

Stress checks are conducted annually for all employees.
We help our employees to ascertain their own stress levels based on the results of stress checks and we help them to reduce the risk of mental health problems through self-control.
We have created a system that allows any employee who wishes to do so to meet with or consult an occupational physician at any time.
In addition, we are trying to create a comfortable workplace for our employees by conducting a group analysis of each work site to improve working conditions.
Mental health training is conducted regularly for managers and regular employees to teach them stress factors, stress reactions, self-care, and techniques to monitor employee mental health in order to reduce the risk of mental health problems.

Disaster Preparedness

In order to prepare for natural disasters and emergencies, we conduct regular disaster drills (earthquake/tsunami drills, fire drills, and flood drills) to verify and review our initial actions in the event of a disaster and our disaster response.
In addition, we have introduced an earthquake early warning system to provide an early warning in the event of an earthquake. Through these efforts, we are working to minimize the damage caused by disasters.

We stockpile 3 days worth of emergency food and drinking water for our employees in our disaster preparedness warehouse. In addition, we stockpile supplies for use in a disaster such as rescue equipment, stretchers, portable toilets, blankets, and LED lanterns for unexpected situations.
