Environmental Efforts

Our goal is to become an "environmentally friendly factory," so we have been engaged in efforts such as reducing energy consumption and environmental impacts, community beautification, and zero greenhouse gas emissions.
In June 2008, we achieved zero emissions* and were certified by Ibaraki Prefecture as an Excellent Recycler and an Eco-Business.
By achieving zero emissions, greenhouse gas emissions are reduced, leading to climate change mitigation.
The main practice is to convert waste materials generated in the product manufacturing process into valuable resources by sorting them thoroughly, and to reduce costs by selecting appropriate disposal companies while complying with the revised laws and regulations.
Initially, the cost of disposal exceeded the cost of sale, but this has been reversed since 2008 after the above-mentioned subdivision and re-selection of vendors.
In addition, in order to improve the quality of recycling, we aim to reduce the burden on the global environment by shifting our selection from thermal recycling, in which incineration energy is reused at the time of disposal, to material recycling, in which the material is reused from object to object with less environmental impact.
Breakdown of recycling (Material 86% : Thermal 14%)
Zero emission = Aiming for zero landfill disposal of waste by reusing waste from one industry by another industry.
